Inside Stopper Lab

Video · 2026-09-05

A behind-the-scenes look at our research process, eye tracking, EEG and real user testing.

What the film shows

One session, from arrival to report. The video follows a participant through the full Stopper Lab flow so you can see what is measured, how, and what comes out at the end.

The flow

  • Briefing and consent. What the study is about, how long it takes, what is recorded. Nothing beyond name and e-mail is asked, and the webcam video never leaves the device.

  • Webcam calibration. Thirteen targets, about forty seconds, then a short head-movement step so the model tolerates natural posture. An accuracy check confirms the calibration before the feed starts.

  • The feed. An Instagram-style stream on the participant's own device. Test visuals are mixed between filler posts; the participant simply scrolls as usual.

  • Signals. Scroll speed, stops, dwell, taps and reactions on every post; gaze samples from the webcam; in lab sessions, EEG with EMOTIV EPOC X and skin response with Shimmer3R GSR+, and eye tracking with Pupil Labs Neon.

  • Reports. A personal report for the participant and a combined report for the researcher: image ranking, stopping rate, dwell, first-view timing and heatmaps for every visual.

What the Lab is for

The Lab connects what the theory proposes and what Stopper AI predicts with what people actually do. Every study adds to the datasets that calibrate the models, which is why we call it the evidence engine of the ecosystem.

What the Lab is not

Not only an eye-tracking lab. Not only an EEG lab. Not an AI tool on its own. It measures attention and behaviour; it does not claim to read what people feel.
